Voodoo Goddess of womanhood : love, beauty, dancing, that sort of thing. She has more faces than a twelve sided clock.

Used to living in fabulous luxury, Erzulie always appears powdered and perfumed. She throws serious tantrums and strops if she doesn't get everything she asks for at ceremonies. And she wants a lot .. flowers, jewels, pretty clothes, the list goes on.

Her lust for everything includes men too. Not content with being married to Damballa Wedo, Agwe and Ogoun, she will hop into the sack with pretty much anyone if the fancy takes her.

But she gives back as much as she expects, turning out as Erzulie Ge-Rouge, Erzulie Dantor, Erzulie Freyda and Erzulie Jan Petro amongst others. But a word of warning : not all of her aspects are nice. Infact some are downright nasty.

Sometimes associated with the Virgin Mary but i suspect not in a meek and mild way and her symbol is the heart, usually a broken one with a dagger stuck in it.
