The twelve Solar deities - sons of Aditi and Kashyapa.

Aunty Diti didn't like these goody goddy types much and was more interested in trying to elevate her own nastier Daityas to the top of the celestial power tree.

I think it was just jealousy though as Ansa, Aryman, Bhaga, Daksha, Dhatri, Indra, Mitra, Ravi, Savitri, Surya, Varuna, and Yama were real gods not dirty stinking Asuras.
