Designer, Producer and director of the universe - the artist formerly known as Prajapati, born from a golden egg or maybe a belly button Lotus.

Brahma is the balancing force of the trinity of Hindu biggy Gods known as the Trimurti along with Shiva and Vishnu. He doesn't go in for the whole in your face approach like some of the other gods, preferring to sit back, relax, prune his holy rose bushes and sip celestial cups of tea. He has the technical knowledge for sure but will only employ it at the request of the other gods. He's not that popular in worshipping circles either.

Apparently Brahmarishi Bhrigu was organising a grand fire sacrifice and wanted the greatest of the Trimurti to be the presiding deity. When he went to visit Brahma he was so engrossed in Saraswati's music that he didn't give Bhrigu the time of day and was cursed to have no earthly worshippers.

This seems to have been the beginning of the end and Brahma was trivialized in later Hinduism and relegated to the disher out of favours in exchange for acts of asceticism. He gave boons away to demons and the seemingly unworthy without any kind of consideration of the consequences. Maybe his celestial tea had been spiked with rum.
