KO-NO-HANA

Aka : KONOHANA-SAKUYA-HIME, KONOHANA
God of : n/a | Religion : Shinto | Club : n/a

The cherry blossom princess. The symbol of delicate earthly life.

While strolling along the beach one day, Ninigi clapped eyes on the ridiculuosly stunning Ko-No-Hana and wasted no time in going to ask Oho-yama for his daughters hand in marriage.

Ohoyama : 'Of course you can. She's my oldest daughter, i was starting to think i would never get rid of her!'

Ninigi: 'Erm... I was actually talking about Ko-No-Hana.'

The mountain god tried all ways to convince Ninigi that Iha-Naga was the better bet but he was adamant...

'Ko-No-Hana is the one for me!'

He wandered if he had made the right choice when his new wife announced that she was pregnant after just one night, making Ninigi more than a little suspicious.

She pleaded her innocence but could see that Ninigi thought she had been tomming around with other gods so she locked herself in a hut with no windows and doors and promptly set fire to it.

If the child was from the loin of anyone other than the divine Ninigi, it would be frazzled, but he needn't have worried. Ko-No-Hana gave birth to three sons - Hoori, Hoderi and Hosuseri. Unfortunately their mother perished in the flames so an apology was out of the question. I bet Ninigi was really sorry though.
