FJALAR and GALAR

God of : n/a | Hall : n/a | Mount : n/a

Two dwarfs who fancied a bit of Kvasir's knowledge.

They didn't make friends and just ask him to share it with them, oh no. They killed him, drained his blood into three vats then stirred in a little honey and brewed it into the fabled Mead of Inspiration.

Feeling proud of themselves and having got the knack of this murder thing, they also had the giant Gilling row them out to sea where they capsised the boat and left him to drown. Fallar then broke the news to Gillings wife and offered to show her the husbands final resting place. She put on her glad rags and stepped out of the house at which point Galar dropped a millstone from the roof onto the grieving widows head, killing her outright.

I have no idea why they did this, but the son Suttungr was suitably furious. He lashed them to a rock at sea which became covered at high tide, only releasing them when the slobbering elves begged for their lives and offered him the mystical brew in exchange.

Suttungr agreed and passed Bodn, Son and Odrerir to his sister Gunnlod at Hnitbjorg for safe keeping. Bit of a mistake, that was.
