Gunnar, Hogni, Guttorm and Gudrun were the children of Grimhild and Gjuki, king of the Nibelungs.

Gunnar and Hogni were enlisted by ex-Valkyrie Brynhild to deal with Sigurd who had accidently betrayed her after a night on Grimhild's home brew. We've all been there! But this little episode proved fateful for pretty much everyone as Sigurd woke up married to Gudrun. Damn that mead of forgetfulness!

Anyways, they couldn't go through with the dastardly deed themselves as they were Sigurd's blood brothers, but their other brother, howling mad Guttorm, had no such concience.

With Sigurd out of the way they took posession of Andvari's cursed treasure and it drove them a little bit nuts.

Gunnar died in fits of laughter as Atli ripped his heart out.
