Son of Grimhild and Gjuki along with Gunnar, Hogni and Gudrun.

Gunnar and Hogni were half brothers of Sigurd after he was slipped a course of Grimhilds lethal homebrew and married their sister Gudrun. They knew all about his horde of treasure so when a distraught Brynhild approached them to help exact a little retribution their eyes lit up.

They had a momentary attack of conscience when it came to actually doing the terrible deed so they went to Grimhild, who was becoming a bit of a whizz with cocktails and she rustled up a tasty little snakes blood and wolfs flesh number.

Guttorm was nominated as the 'lucky' recipient of this feisty beverage and became a little feisty himself, flying into a berserker rage before setting off to murder Sigurd as he slept.

I'm no master of military manouvers, but i'm almost positive that a quieter option would have been a better bet if you wanted to sneak up on someone and murder them while they were tucked up in bed. Sure enough, as Guttorm carried out his mothers wishes he was scythed in half by Sigurd as he breathed his last breath.
