A god renowned for his knowledge and wisdom, as you might expect from someone who owns and drinks from the aptly named Mimir's well .. of knowledge and wisdom, located beneath the roots of Yggdrasil in Jotunheim.

At the end of the Aesir/Vanir ten year war, buckets were filled with God spittle, peace treaties were signed and hostages were exchanged.

Mimir moved from Asgard to Vanaheim along with Hoenir who turned out to be a jibbering buffoon. The Vanir were offended, cut off Mimir's head and stuck it in a bag labelled 'return to sender'!

Odin applied a little herbal therapy and sang it sweet songs, restoring the head back to life, albeit without a body. It now gives council to the All father and imparts great knowledge and secrets.
