Norse Realm of Fire, home to the Fire Giants.

The collision between Muspelheim and Niflheim at the start of time led to melting ice dripping into the huge void known as Ginnungagap. The Rime giant Ymir was born from the resulting gloop and became death fodder for Odin and his brothers as they looked for raw materials to create the world.

As the name would suggest, fire giants are a little bit lairy and love a good scrap. They will smash Bifrost when Ragnarok approaches - signalling the beginning of the end has arrived.

The flamelands are ruled by Surtr the twisted firestarter.
