The Goddess of youth and beauty known as Lady Jade Skirt. She is represented by a river and a prickly pear tree overflowing with fruit.

The mother of Tecuciztecatl shared parenting rights with Tlaloc and was also married to Xiuhtecuhtli though i don't know if it was at the same time. Quite why a Goddess of water would want to betroth a fire God is a mystery.

She's big at chilbirth, helping mothers during tricky labour, and is just as popular at the following baptisms especially as her running water alter-ego Acuecucyoticihuati.

And speaking of water... Chalchiuhtlicue sent great floods to drown the wicked and lazy. Unfortunately there were so many of them it was easier to destroy the whole fourth world, which is exactly what she did. This may seem a little extreme, but at least this would guarantee she got them all!

It wasn't a dead loss though as those blessed with total creaminess survived when Chalchiuhtlicue turned them into fish.

She sometimes puts in an appearance as Matlalcueitl.
