The second of Kunti's Pandava's. Because of a curse Vayu was his actual father but King Pandu raised him as his own. Bhima was as strong as ten thousand elephants and not even Indra himself could subdue him in battle.

The list of those who have fallen at the hands of Bhima reads like a who's who of demons and wrong doers such is his skill at close range mace to body parts combat. Baka, Kirmira, MaNiman, Jarasandha, Dushasana, Dronacharya and an elephant called Ashvatthama, amongst many more, all felt his power.

He was a notorious hot head and wouldn't strictly stick to the Queensbury rules with one scrap leaving Duryodhana mortally wounded after a pre-meditated strike below the belt. Still, it's no more than he deserved after trying to kill Bhima with a feast spiked with every poison under the sun.

He was a bit of a wizz at the stove too and after the Pandavas second exile disguised himself as a chef and breezed into a job at the palace kitchens. Only Nala was was his culinary equal.

Pre-Draupadi he married an incognito Rakshashi called Hidimbi after a little altercation with her brother Hidimbasur during the Pandavs first exile, and they had a son called Ghatotkacha.

Bhima's Pandava brothers are Arjuna, Yudhistira, Nakula and Sahadeva.
