Ancient creator God. Hindu's over protective father.

He was married to Prasuti and they had a whole shed load of daughters - twenty seven of which were married to Soma. Apparently Soma favoured Rohini over the other twenty six so he was cursed by Daksha to shrivel and die. Diti and Aditi were two others, Dakshayani (aka Sati) was another and Danu another.

Daksha wasn't too fond of Shiva and it all got a bit messy.
