The Norse horse duo - Early Riser and All Swift, who pulled the chariot of Sol across the day time sky.

To prevent them bursting into flames the Gods placed iron cool bellows in the equivalent of the horses armpits - which was a nice thought.

Daylight was actually generated by the manes of these two steeds, Sol just gave off the heat but was happy to take credit for the whole warm sunny day package.

It's a thankless job pulling a sun God!
